How YOU helped the Salish Sea in 2019!

As the year draws to a close, we would like to say a big THANK YOU to all our guests for choosing Eagle Wing Tours and helping to support science, conservation and education in and around the Salish Sea.

Your contributions have helped us raise a grand total of $220,383.74, which we’re donating to a number of organizations to help protect this amazing ecosystem!

1% for the Planet

We’ve been members of 1% for the Planet since 2011 and are thrilled to have supported a variety of fantastic organizations and projects over the years.

Carbon offsets

We’re 100% carbon neutral, third-party verified, and all documentation is public and transparent. We’ve recently started purchasing our carbon offsets from Wilderness International, with the money going toward habitat preservation in the Toba Valley.

Wildlife fee

In 2013, Eagle Wing implemented a $2 per passenger wildlife fee, with 100% of those funds being directed to conservation initiatives in the Salish Sea. For the 2019 season, this was raised to $5, and we’redelighted to report that every penny raised is going right back into local research, conservation and education.

Here’s a round-up of organizations and projects we—and you—supported in 2019 through our commitment to 1% for the Planet, offsets for 100% of our carbon emissions, our wildlife fee and other guest donations.
