It was a wettish weekend in the Salish Sea but that of course meant nothing to the whales who carried on with their daily business of finding food and enjoying family time—a perfect way to spend the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend! On Sunday we visited with parts of K and L-pods as they made their way east past Victoria, and on Monday we spent time with the T49A transient group of killer whales as they travelled slowly west between San Juan Island and Victoria. And as usual, we squeezed in some humpback and pinniped (seals and sea lions) viewing to round things off! All photos taken with a telephoto lens and cropped.
