We left the harbour with very foggy conditions with a report of whales up off Tsawassen heading north towards the Fraser River. 50 nautical miles at full speed later, we caught up to them at Sandheads, we had what looked like all the members of K-pod, J-pod, and quite a few L’s as well. They were just milling back and forth in really nice formations with some really nice views of Cruiser L-92. We cam home through the fog and came across a group of Transient Killer Whales by accident between Coal and Portman Island. We spent about 20 minutes and passed them off to another group of whale watching boats and proceeded on our way home. Roundtrip was 102 nautical miles and 4.5 hours with very happy passengers.
