Started out at Race Rocks lighthouse in the rain, we had thunder and lighting storms out today which was pretty exciting! Seeing lightning in the distance and hearing the thunder. Lots of seals and sea lions at Race Rocks Ecological Reserve. From there we seached a bit south and then east looking for Humpback Whales and avoiding the electrical storms. We traveled northeast towards middle bank were we picked up a very spread out group of K & L pod, Resident Killer Whales! We followed them into Eagle Point and then north up to Lime Kiln. Lots of rain, thunder and lighting but at least we got to see K & L pod then back to Victoria with a roundtrip of 79 miles.
