We headed east this morning because we had reports of whales near Salmon Bank! Half way across Haro Straight we came across some thick fog. At the time we arrived at Salmon Bank the whales were lost in the fog, we spent a good hour searching with a couple other boats but no luck. We headed west in search of Humpback Whales near Race Rocks. At about three miles northeast of Race Rocks we picked up a Humpback Whale and spent some time with the single Humpback Whale traveling south. We had a quick stop at Race Rocks lighthouse where we saw lots of seals and sea lions. From Race Rocks we went west further where we picked up K & L pod! Three miles southwest of Secretary Island. We had a really nice view of Cappuccino and L92 Crusier and others. Great vocalizations, flat calm water and back in Victoria with a roundtrip of 91 miles!
