Started out probably 4 miles south of Seabird, with the T-30’s, the 5 transients. The whales were moving northeast towards Haro Strait, and we followed them for about 45 minutes. We had a couple great looks. From Beaumont Shoal, where we left the whales, we traveled all the way out to Race Rocks. We did a big search to the east and south for Humpbacks and went out towards East Sooke Park. Conditions were fabulous but we just couldn’t find any Humpbacks. We stopped in at Race Rocks and spent quite a bit of time with all the seals and sea lions. Back into Victoria, roundtrip was 75 miles. A great day on the water.
