British Columbia’s rich biodiversity brought Dana to Vancouver Island to study marine biology and earth and ocean sciences at the University of Victoria. She has since worked with public and private sectors monitoring biodiversity and productivity in the ocean, population studies in marine protected areas, pollution remediation and environmental education. Her love of nature drives her to better understand and protect the environment with the hope that habitat for whales and other wildlife will be preserved for generations to come. On days off, she’s back to the ocean and in the parks, birding and exploring with her dog! Dana’s personal philosophy is that every individual can make small changes to create a larger impact, and ecotours are a powerful way to inspire people to protect what they love!
