Eagle Wing's mission is to work with purpose and passion on behalf of all wildlife, encouraging our guests to become more involved in the education and conservation of a sustainable, healthy, and more balanced marine eco-system. This is a mission we have embarked on to help make our environment healthier, a mission that takes us on the path to a sustainable planet.
At the root of our philosophy on sustainability, is a belief that there is a cooperative relationship between business and the environment. We believe that in doing well by good, business can prosper and natural systems thrive.
Eagle Wing Tours' commitment to environmental stewardship is multifaceted. It is manifested in the design of our whale watching boats and in our efforts to engage in daily business practices that promote a healthier planet.
We see a future in which people all over the world can appreciate and understand the economic, social and environmental value of our relationship with nature. We live in a world driven by commerce and technology. On this journey we have been traveling with such focus that we have slowly lost sight of how fragile and important the environment we live in really is. It has been proven that the production of Carbon emissions & pollution is hurting our planet.
Eagle Wing Tours is doing our part to leave as little of a carbon foot print as possible. We have developed an environmental initiative program which is active all the time, even when we are not even on the water, around the clock. We whole heart idly recognize that we are not out in the environment to have a great time at the expense of the wildlife that we have the pleasure of visiting and sharing with the world.
Yes, we must make a living like so many others. But, are the others doing their part to the best of their ability reducing their carbon footprints on the environment? What companies are walking the talk & not just talking about it?
Are they also going above and beyond and doing what it takes to be clean, to be respectful, to be honourable, to be ethical and just simply 'do the right thing!'
The Southern Resident Killer Whales are faced with many issues: pollution, lack of food sources, global warming, and disrespectful vessel traffic such as freighters, cruise ships, airplanes, commercial fishing vessels, private boaters.
